This flag was removed from a building across a river after the 605 liberated the town. The exact town is unknown at this point but it was taken and kept by Pfc. Dayton Edie of A Company. His wife Marta (a German girl raised in the Hitler youth who later met Dayton and lived the American dream) gave it to me (Matt Lynn) after Dayton's death.
